August 17, 2008 - Qingdao produced a high-energy action-packed race course for the Yngling medal race course today with a low pressureweather pattern and a high pressure points scenario! Our lay day was yesterday and it turned out to be just that…a LAY day. We spent our day lying down, doing laundry, writing postcards and recharging our batteries. Hans Sendes, our trusty leader, took us out to have dinner in our local favorite restaurant in the evening and we all turned in early. The point spread is so close that we had to collect our energy to start what basically amounts to a brand new regatta today. We were only 4 points away from the bronze medal position yesterday!
